A complete transformation of a 40-year-old home!

The MS project consists of an integral intervention of an existing house, with the objective of restoring functional coherence, comfort and contemporaneity. Over 40 years old, this house had an outdated structure and an organization poorly adapted to the current demands and dynamics of these clients. Duality accepted the challenge of reinterpreting space, preserving its identity, but reorganizing it according to a new logic of housing that is more fluid, light and luminous.

Abroad, the intervention followed the same principle of integration. The garden was designed as an extension of the interior, designed to provide moments of tranquility. Distinct but complementary areas were outlined: a lounge area, a dining space with barbecue and a pool integrated into the deck. The slight elevation of the water mirror gives it presence and identity, without compromising the harmony of the whole or the surrounding visual balance.

The house was equipped with a home automation system developed by Óbvio - Smart Living, which integrates technology and comfort in an intuitive and efficient way. The project includes the Obvious Home Server Pro, which guarantees maximum performance and reliability in all integrations. This system allows remote and local control of the blinds, the intelligent management of the gates and access through an intelligent video intercom with remote viewing and control. The house also has a fully integrated video surveillance system, which allows the different spaces of the house to be monitored in real time, reinforcing the safety and tranquility of the users. The entire installation has been configured to work with the Home Assistant and Apple HomeKit applications, allowing you to manage the house from your cell phone, tablet, smartwatch and even by voice command, in a simple and centralized way. This technological integration adapts to the lifestyle of each user, allowing the creation of personalized scenarios and automations, which adjust the home environment to daily routines with comfort and efficiency.

In every phase of the project, from the spatial definition to the choice of materials and finishes, a rational and sensitive approach prevailed, centered on the daily experience of its inhabitants. Duality opted for a restrained architectural language, in which each element has a purpose and each detail contributes to the serenity of the atmosphere. Sophistication is manifested through precision and proportion, while functionality is translated into quiet and lasting elegance.

The MS Project is, thus, an example of a total transformation, conducted with logic, levity and intention. More than reformulating a dwelling, the objective was to create a new way of living, coherent, balanced and profoundly human. A space where architecture and design merge to express the true essence of those who inhabit it.
